All I know is we went through a few frustrating time not knowing where or when to move in to our new home. Ed quited his Ph.D and started a new dream job. We all moved in with Ed's grandparents not intending to stay with them for two and a half month but we did. The kids grew and as for Ed and I, we have learned our lesson about being patient. Good things come, they really do come when the time is right.
I miss Texas and a few friends that I made and left behind. I miss my calling in YW. I miss my Asian grocery store and my pho restaurant. I also miss taking Ed to school, felt like I was his mother somewhat. Though it was too crazy of a place for me to stay for good, I still think Arlington has been one of funnest time I experienced.
So here we are back from we started, Utah. I love it and appreciate it a whole lot more. Now I have family members to visit, I no longer get lonely. The church is here right next door and the best of all, I am in my new home. We love it! We spent our first Thanksgiving here with a few family members in town and Isaac's family who drove down from ID. Though in Oct Jaynann turned four while we were living with grandparents, later on we moved in a week before Halloween so we could go trick or treat with our new neighbor friends who are super cool. Her kids are so cute and are about Jaynann and Zeke's age.
Everything is going well. We are all grateful that we are having a great time in our new space. I am blessed to be able to stay home with Jaynann and Zeke, it has been nice. Ed's enjoying his new job getting back into banking. We are all happy, so happy. Soon Christmas will be here, how exciting. Our Christmas tree is up looking pretty. Jaynann and Zeke also have their own tree to decorate, how fun! I am very excited to start a new journey this year.

Jaynann and Anya

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v10.nonxt1.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3D5f64f7766537a8eb%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1331229029%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D8417605F2EA43108D5021936CF9D186142BC7F29.1758EEB26401E720921E7505A615DB1C8F2694DD%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3D5f64f7766537a8eb%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3DQGokXq4LpfyFCNcbylu45Aviu7g&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

This is Jaynann's 3rd time reuniting with her BFF, Anya at the family reunion in Nauvoo. It is the 2nd time that I have visited Thailand this year. This trip was supposed to be for a dental visit; however, an unfortunate event happened. My beloved grandpa, the kid's great grandpa passed away the 2nd day I arrived home. I got off the train in Phatthalung and went straight to see my grandpa in Hat Yai. He had been rushed to the hospital earlier that morning due to his asthma. He experienced a very difficult time breathing. I saw him myself looking right straight into my eyes. I had a hard time telling myself to be strong knowing that he would not perhaps live for much longer. I couldn't believe the miracle of God's love—to bring me here to him and to lead my children here to my very dear family. I remember having an important conversation with him about his ancestors. I asked him to complete as much information for me as soon as possible. Soon he completed for me. With completed dates and names, my grandpa wrote them as he knew this day would come. I know that I am the chosen one for this the important work of redeeming my family’s dead. I know I lack a lot of courage to bring my family members closer the God; I am not even able to prod them to ask me the very important questions, "Is God real?" My soul is so dying to answer them and to bear my testimony. I was promised in writing that one day I will be able to share my testimony with them; I will and I cannot wait. Tonight is a very special night; it is the time of a semiannual 180th general conference of the church. It is also a very first time that I am away from Ed during the conference, and we didn't have a chance to hear conference together as family. I miss having a family our family together. How important family is to me. I know that the church is true and important to those who are living or dead. I cannot deny that this trip is a gift of Heaven Father to me so I could see my grandpa before he entered God's place. I know that he knows too that there is a living God. I cannot wait to share many stories with him—once he and I talked about the story of Noah. My grandpa was wise—he will choose to be with Heavenly Father, no doubt.

So here we are again.

The Pongsuwan family: from left to right, me, mae(mom), P'Fon, Po(dad)
taken in Kaoluk, Songkla Feb '10

first experience at the waterfall in Phatthalung, Thailand

my grandpa Sern or the kid's great grandpa

So here is my story....

From Kingman, AZ to Phatthalung, Thailand, Pasadena, CA, Salt Lake City, UT, Mound, MN, Nauvoo, IL, and Fort Worth, TX. Arlington, Texas is our last stop and where we are now. Where are we going next, don't know yet. But we have had a blast this past summer. We visited family and friends in Thailand in February and that was sure an experience for Ed and the kids. As for me, home is still the only place where I feel very safe and secure. My parents are hoping that we might move there to stay for a few years. However Ed now has a new plan to get his PhD done first and I think it is the best time to do that since the kids are still young. So here we are again moving from place to place, learning about new places and people. We love it but we miss it. We miss seeing the ones who we dearly love like our family and friends. We miss and worry that we won't be able to return to visit them for a long time. Nevertheless, the past summer has become my favorite summer. Not only because I get to learn more about my family and Ed's but also I get to spend it with my dearest family members. We feel their kindness support and their love warmth hugs. It almost makes me feel like I can do it all. It is nice to know that I can also rely on them. Thank you family for being there for us. Thank you friends for loving us for who we are and accept us as your friends. This summer we have had a blast and we appreciate all that you have given us. So here are some of the summer pictures and VDOs that I put together. I will attempt to write some more later when I get a chance. Just a quick note, Jaynann is now 22 months old and Zeke is 15 months old. I by accident have let 2 flies in the house, my bad. One was killed and the other one escaped and still is flying around the house. A few time while Jaynann was laying down and I was taking a little nap. That darn fly had managed to bug her. I didn't know what it was at first, she jumped and cried. I thought she had a bad dream or ran out of milk but no no it was that fly. Later on she picked up a piece of baby wipe and tried to pick up the fly. Certainly she missed. The fly escaped and flied away. She even used one of her favorite book to try to hit that fly. She spotted where it was and went for the goal. She missed! Oh no! She got even more mad now. While she was playing with a laundry basket dressing herself up in a dress, the fly came near her again! She couldn't stand it no longer, she undressed all her clothes down to her diaper. Just about when I got done nursing Zeke and ready to snap a picture, she decided to give up killing that fly. Maybe in a little bit, she will be driven crazy by the fly again. What funny about this story is her expression. She was mad, annoyed, and maybe scared of the fly. She ran away from it and came up with several solutions. I convinced her to put her clothes back on so that the fly wouldn't touch her. Jaynann is certainly a smart girl. She observed Ed and I when we tried to kill the flies. I am just waiting for her to roll an Ensign magazine to hit that fly again. We will just have to wait and see. He seems to talk about them a lot, almost all the time. He often compares life's experiences today to the pioneer's time, to be funny maybe. Don't get him wrong, he admires them. He even mentioned them in his Zeke's blessing. So if you have had a conversation about the pioneers with Ed. He'd tell you how I was a bad pioneer because I couldn't handle hard works and such. Plus I like to complain just about everything. Once he joked about me being a bad pioneer to my friend, she was so offended for me. I thought to myself, oh well, I'm glad I wasn't born during the pioneer time. Ed would laugh and laugh about it. What so funny?! I don't know. So this past eight and a half months, I was carrying our 2nd baby Zeke. It was such a challenging pregnancy. Not only I had to deal with bathroom problems, also it was painful to sit and walk. He was hanging out in my tummy so low. Once the doctor felt his head and said to me that the more kids I have, the lower I will carry them. It is sad to hear. However I doubt the doctor's comment because I don't see how it is possible. I guess, I would have to pee my pants all the time. It is all funny to me now but I remember that I wasn't laughing a month ago. Enough about me, let talk about Zeke. He was such a perfect baby. The day I went to the doctor appointment on the early morning of May 18th, I was already 4.5 cm dilated. By the time I got to the hospital around 10.30 am, I was at 5ish. Ed and I had a good time waiting for the medications to kick in. It started to become real when I felt the pain at around noon. Some tears start running on my face but it wasn't long until I received an epidural. That was a very painful process for some reason. It also took a long time getting it in and I was really crying in pain this time. I looked up to see Ed's face. It seemed like he was scared of the needle. I heard it was quite big and long. Yap, I wasn't a true pioneer because I refused to deliver him without pain medicine. I know the pioneers didn't have a choice then. I'm certain they wouldn't mind having a pain killer if it was available then. Anyway, once they give me some type of relaxing medication, I was so sleepy. But then not long after, I was at 6, 9, and 10 cm. I heard Dr. Anderson said "let have a baby." I pushed his head, shoulders, (not knees and toes) and the rest of his tiny body out. It was fast and almost painless when I delivered him. Zeke was screaming very loudly right when he came out. The nurse said he was mad. It is a BOY! I cannot believe I just had another baby! After Zeke was born, Ed came up and kissed me. He said thanks for having a baby for him. I thought that was sweet and I wouldn't mind doing it over again. He then started telling me how I would make a good pioneer. Hahaha!!!! I laughed. Why did he bring it up again? Don't know. But Ed just had to mention it so that it could put a smile on my face. I guess he has changed his mind after the delivery. He later on mentioned it to his family and friends how I was such a good pioneer again and again and again. I'd shake my head and laugh when I heard him said that. I had it way easier than the pioneers, Ed. Trust me, they'd love to have it my way than their way. I'm just blessed to have the baby this way and I am thankful for every second of it. So there you have it, Ed's and my pioneer experience. For those who know my husband well will know what I'm talking about.

P.S. Zeke, Ezekiel Gonlawat Hewitt was born on May 18th, 2009 at 3.37 pm. He weighed 7.1 pounds and 19.5 long. He loves to sleep and poo A LOT!

Don't you grow up too fast baby Jaynann.

Call Me....

Jaynann has a boyfriend(s).

My beautiful baby Jaynann has managed to survive nursery no problem. Since we also work there, no one really knows that Jaynann is only 15 months not 18 months yet accept a few leaders. She has been there since she was 11 months. Not only she got along well with all her bigger friends but she has found herself boyfriend(s) also.
The first one is Michael is Christy's littlest boy. He is about 20 months. He used to hold her hands and walk around the chapel. They also play together often in church. Jeremiah is another boy that likes to feed Jaynann goldfish crackers. He used to come to nursery with green runny nose. Luckily he has gotten much better lately. So I feel relieve to let them feed each other. They somehow sit next to each other every Sundays. Last one is Tucker. Now I don't really know this little man's parents. A few weeks ago, Tucker was playing with toys, Jaynann leaned over about 3 times to try to kiss him on his cheek. She missed it! I was sitting next to both of them and saw the whole action. It was adorable and funny at the same time. Picture this event in slow motion. Jaynann even closed her eyes, hehe. I thought it was random. Baby Jaynann, you've never told mama about this first love. So this past Sunday, I was attending relief society and left all the kids with Ed and his crews. Ed told me afterward that Tucker and Jeremiah jumped on top of Jaynann while she was laying down drinking her milk. I guess Tucker started it and later Jeremiah joined in. Even better, Ed said Tucker gave Jaynann a big hug. They both were hugging each other actually. Darn, I missed it! I saw Tucker's dad after the meeting was over. I told his dad that my baby is in love with his son. He just laughed and didn't say much. I just want you to know Jaynann that I tried to be friends with Tucker's parents but I guess they aren't ready yet. After church was over, Ed said Michael's heart has now been broken, poor little man. Next week, I'll have to get some Valentine candies for Tucker for something. It'll be a memorable event that I can tell Jaynann later on when she grows up. Happy Valentine's Day baby Jaynann.

XOXO,

Mama

Jaynann and her Daddy

My Diddiiii

One day after putting Jaynann to bed, Ed mentioned to me that he didn't want Jaynann to grow up. His mom also ask often "when're you gonna stop calling her Baby Jaynann?" To Ed, I know Jaynann is everything. Even though back then when there were just us two, Ed didn't show much intertest in babies. Now Ed is Jaynann's "favorite biggest toy." She adores him and likes to be around him. Every night, Ed put her to bed. He always says to her, "good night, daddy loves you." Every morning, Jaynann cries for him to pick her up. I love seeing their relationships grow. I believe Jaynann is the luckiest baby in the world.

First few days at home, Ed and Jaynann too many naps together often. I can do this again and again. As for Ed, he is almost done with his MBA. He has about 4 more months to go. When Ammon, the littest one is here, Ed will be done finally.

Jaynann...

She now has about 15 teeth. Luckily she doesn't bite. She still walks funny and has begun run. As far as getting in trouble, she likes to get into everything. She sometimes hides herself in the room, closes the door, then she cries for help. She also likes to drag the dirty laundry around--I guess because the clothes are colorful. One thing different about her, she has learned to say words like grandpa (papa), Tippy, daddy, and some Thai words. Reading is her hobby, she does it about 2 to 3 times a day and the same books over and over again. I can read to her without looking at the books. I am getting better at it too. She also likes watching morning cartoons. We dance and sing in front of the TV. Jaynann loves to learn. In nursery where we serve, Jaynann is the littlest. She blends in no problem however. Playing, singing, eatting, and reading in nursery are her favorite things to do. She has her favorite friends, boys of course. She even leaned toward on of them to try to kiss him 3 times. He didn't realized it until the last attempt and he rejected! How cruel! Don't know what inspired her to want to kiss him. Maybe she felt like he was like her teddy bear like one at home. I wish I had a camera to capture the moment. I was in charge of singing time last Sunday. My girl sat and stared at mommy (Tippy). She clapped and attempted to sing songs. My heart was full with joy. I guess I never had that experience with my mom. I was a shy fat kid in school who boys just wouldn't stop picking on. I dress Jaynann every morning and love it! I put her in skirts and dresses. It is my favorite time of the day. My dad didn't allow me to wear skirts nor shorts. I remembered once he ripped my only dress in pieces because I wouldn't take it off. I wore it over and over again. Yea, that scares me. Don't get me wrong, I love my dad very much. Just when me and my sister were little, we didn't get to be kids. Too busy in school and tried too hard to be smart. Once it was time for me to be a mom. I am doing almost everything opposite then my parents offered me. I think having freedom to choose is great. She is a human being and God made her a human for a reason. I do restrict and limit some options since she is still little. As far as what to eat or play, go for the goal baby. Anyway, I enjoy being a mom very much and I cannot wait to have a newborn in my arms again. He will be quite a joy to our lives. Ed cannot wait to buy new toys like legos and I cannot wait to say I have two kids, hooray!

Jaynann likes to explore.

Mom and baby #2

I' am over 21 weeks now. I am about 15 weeks pregnant and I have to say that there are times when I just want to quit and run away. I can't though. I am not a quiter, I said to myself seldom. Though I now lay and sit at home all day with Jaynann, can't drive or lift heavy things. I am certainly annoyed with myself. Time is hard, I have to say. But I am still proud to carry this baby. I am very fortunate to be able to be a mother. I love it every single minute. Now I am not able to fly home to visit my family. It makes me sad since I miss home so much. It is okay however, we can try later next year after the baby is born and well.

My 13 months little chick

I'd like to say that she is now my little chick. She is full of energy--she runs and play all day. I bet she hates having to take naps and go night night since the world is full of things to explore. She starts to look pretty like a little girl, no longer a baby. She talks and copies me a lot. She likes to dance and move along with the music. She also loves to read a lot. Giving kisses (Kusses) to her Easter doll is one of the funny things she does. Sometimes, Ed and I get lucky, she'd kiss us on the lips. She slips her tough in there, too. It is funny and yucky at the same time. Now she has about 11 teeths. I bet it bother her a bit when she bites. She walks really well on her own. At night, she starts to sleep though the night and gets up around 6 or 7 am to see dad leaves to work. Jaynann finally put smiles on her daddy face because she cries when he leaves to work. At the same time, it is sad to see him gone all the time. He also plays with her a lot more. They blows at each other faces, funny to watch. Today she gave me cunning eyes. It is cute!

poor child

This past week, Jaynann was sick, so sick that she stopped playing and eating for a week. Her Halloween experience didn't go so well. She couldn't stand the heat inside the bumble bee costume so she only lasted for about 30 mins. I felt so sad for her that she couldn't enjoy her birthday month. October was such as rough month this year. I am sure these pictures can better describe the emotion that week.

a walk to remember

Jaynann and I usually take an afternoon walk almost everyday. She likes to look at people and things. I guess it is relaxing to her because most of the time she would be asleep by the time we get home. Three weeks ago things happened, I was sick and had to be on bed rest and we also went on a trip to AZ and southern UT. Jaynann was less than one then and I didn't really spend much time with her. My mother did also come over to visit. Anyway, today Jaynann and I took a walk downtown. I look at my sweet child and thought today is a different day. She is now over one year old who can walk and say a few words. Two to three weeks ago Jayann wasn't able to do any of these things. What does it mean to me? It means that she is growing fast and soon before I know it she is going to run and talk in sentences. So where was I those past three weeks? I have to admit that I didn't spend much quality time with Jaynann. My mom helped me with taking care of her. I do definitely feel like I lost track of time. So today I had to get to know Jaynann again. At the moment I am holding her in my arm trying to comfort her as much as I can. Being pregnant at the same time makes it difficult for me to stay awake and focus. I usually feel sick around 2 pm till I go to bed, which means that Jaynann gets affected by my sickness. I don't play and chase her around like I used to. Soon Jaynann is going to be a big sister and I know she will be great at it.

At one year old, Jaynann is full of happiness. She loves me! I know because I feel it all the time. She obeys when I told her not to open the drawers or jump in the tub when I take a shower. It surprised me when Jaynann listens. I guess I wouldn't listen to my mother if she said no to me. She also likes to read--she starts reading even before opening the book. She also likes to walk since now it becomes her new thing to do. She navigates whoever is holding her hand to tell them to go a certain way. One day in Page, AZ. We were walking by the swimming pool. Jaynann walked toward the gate and didn't want to leave. She almost cried when we told her no. Yes, she loves to swim. It is her fearless activity when we travel. She swims like she knows how. I am so impressed when I see her in the water. Ed usually takes in on his shoulders and goes up and down in the water, Jaynann loves it. My baby is loving. She likes to smile to people. Even though she gets pretty shy around guys, she usually likes them a bit later after firthing with them. After grandma left today. Jaynann went to check her bed. She usually slept with her in the morning. My mom covered her head sometimes when she slept so Jaynann today opened a blanket. Except today grandma wasn't there under the cover anymore. It broke my heart since they became best of friends. She loved to play peekaboo with her and cuddle with her under the blanket. I am sure it is hard for my mother also to leave such a adorable baby who has such a loving heart. Anyway, I just miss seeing her smiles everytime my mother did something funny. I guess I pretty much described most of Jaynann's personalities. I just feel so warm when I think of her.

One her 1st birthday we bought her a kitty cupcake and a pinata. It was a big yellow bird filled with tons of daddy's goodies. She opened her presents with laughter and smiles. She was so happy. I looked at her and felt so proud to be her mom. She didn't eat her cupcake; I let her play with it until it turned into a big mess. Well, I guess some pictures can describe what happened that day. But all I want to say is I love Jaynann.

Being pregnant....again : )

It has been an interesting experience this time when I got pregnant. Not only it happened so quickly but also it is so overwhelming. I am sitting at home trying to put Jaynann down for her nap. I love my family and having another baby is so good and exciting. I am afraid about many things in life and that really makes me cannot fall asleep at night. My mom is coming this Thursday, yeah to mama! She will be here for 2 weeks spending time with us 'cause she misses the baby sooooo much. I am also trying to work my magic to fly home with her or later with Ed. Don't know what will turn out. I am HOMESICK and worried that my family will think less of me. I don't want this baby to stop me from going back home and I don't want Ed's work or school to stop him from going either. It is hard and emotional and being pregnant isn't helping much either. I wish that Hevenly Father can work his magic for me once again but I feel like I always ask too much all the time. I don't know whether I have done enough to deserve it.
I haven't felt sick yet. Mornings have turn into our pajamas party. Jaynann and I sit and stare at the TV untill 11 am. I just don't really have energy or feel inspired. And here I am not taking my afternoon nap when I have a chance. I just don't want to. Time is so valuable that I want to do something else besides sleeping. I want to get a lot of houseworks done, get the outside cleaned up, go get some food, spend time with Jaynann on a walk, etc. I don't know where to begin so now I just want to write all my thoughts down so I can relax.
This is another random thought. If I have a girl, I will name her Clair or Layla (Justin told me to). For a boy, who knows. I like Seth, Sier, something short and handsome. I cannot wait to see what I am having inside me. It doesn't really matter. I just want one eventhough it means I am going to go crazy, weak, and emotional all the time. I like it! Being a mom is so rewarding. I am around 5 weeks pregants and I cannot wait to be over 20 some weeks pregnant. I want to look big and around. I know I am crazy but I love it. My last pregnancy with Jaynann was a bit rough. I just hope that this one will allow me to go home to see my family that I haven't long seen. Pray for me.

What's it like huh?

Something funny about our family is we always find time to think of silly thing to say or to do to each other. It makes us think of one another when we are away. Like this one, I seldom call Ed "Edward" when he doesn't pay attention to my need. Recently in the Hewitt family, we have introduced a new word, "need." The word was brought up by Ed who thought the word "need" has interesting meanings. Isn't he interesting?! Not only Ed is a smart(a..) guy but also creative. He also has been using it around me to get me to pay attention to him. We both are like little kids who don't really want to grow up. Part of it because we miss our good old days being just the two of us. In the past, we surely paid real close attention to our needs which had brought joy to our marriage. Now Jaynann has join the party. Life has changed in many ways. It is wonderful, don't get me wrong. However, Ed and I have to really find time to reunite and hang out like old time. We rarely go on dates alone. Jaynann often comes along with. She is my little kangaroo, no joke. We enjoy having her with us. Plus we have a hard time finding babysiter who would put up with her mood swing. It is rough being a baby, ya know : > A simple solution to our busy life style and having a moody baby is to deal with it, have fun with it, and have a good attitute about it. I believe everything goes it own way. Can't be in control all the time. Try if can't, please deal with it with love and patient.

I call her Jaynann Brown

Well, let see. Jaynann is now almost 11 months. She takes a few steps, stands on her own, still picky, and very clingy. Like Ed always say "She is obsessed with mommy." She loves milkiness not solid food. She HATES sitting on her highchair, cannot sit there and be happy. She claws around the house and gets in the biggest troubles everyday. Most days, she likes to be held and follows me around the house....EVERYWHERE. I sometimes put her in the swing so she cannot escape.
Miss sassy pants also likes to stand. She thinks she is so good at it that she doesn't need to hold on to anything or anyone. She finds something around the house to play with and drag it around the house. Her favorite things to play with are toothbrushes (Ed's or hers not mine of couse), her comb or brush, and dirty laundry. It looks silly when she tries to immitate. Like Ed says again, "Just like mommy, except with brown hair and likes eatting bread."

Well, let's start a life....together

It started off with just Ed and I. Life was easy but not so much fun. So We decided to spice it up with adding another member. Time was right, why not?
I remember telling one of my best friends, Jaynann that I would name my first girl after her. Yap! I sure did. Jaynann came to us right when we needed her. Our lives have never the same since then.

If you know what I mean to give a life to someone who God has chosen especially for us. Ed and I cannot feel more happier. A few days before she came, I was more than anxious to see her. Ed was up helping me and giving me blessing many nights. It was something nice and special, just for the two of us. I miss those days when he would tell me that he would take care of me. Even when I was really sick and on bed rest, he was always there.

when she came......

Jaynann Phailin Hewitt came to earth on October 18th, 2007 at 9.36 pm at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Hospital in Provo, Utah. She was 7 pounds 13 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long, big baby. I was a bit surprised when the nurse announced her measurement. I just wasn't sure that I ate that much, ya know. I took a first look at me and I thought how pretty she looked. She cried when the nurses took her to clean up. She stared at me like she has known me for ages. I thought it was strange but I wasn't surprise because I just know we have met before.
Both Ed and I were happy but we didn't cry. I know that isn't typical of me to not tear up or break down in tears. I don't know why but I knew that I felt like I accomplish something really big in life and I felt so proud.

Where was Ed???!!! Oh...Ed, he was there with me. My favorite cheer leader in the world. I would do it with him again any times. I couldn't imagine being alone in a delivery room without him. He told me the progress of the baby, saw the head of Jaynann, and encouraged me to push hard. I didn't yell or swear at him like I thought I would. Everything went wonderful. I only pushed for about half an hour, and within 8 hours of entering the hospital, she came.
